.....and I didn't even need it!!!!!
I'M ENGAGED!!!!!! TAKE #18 OFF THE LIST!!!
Okay, first of all, it's 1:00am and the only pics I have are on my cell and I don't even know how to transfer them on to my mac, so you won't see any pictures until AT LEAST tomorrow. SORRY! But here's the story: We (fiance and I) were driving from Cedar Rapids (where we live) to my family's condo on the lake for the holiday weekend. In between CR and the lake is the city where we met (when he was my boss at my first job out of college.... oops!). So I suggested that we stop on our way to the lake at this pizza place where we had our first date. He agrees and we hit the road. We get into town and he says "I wonder if they've got that Friday night "Party in the Park" thing going on tonight. Let's check it out." (Usually, on Friday nights, there's a band playing downtown with drinks and food, etc).
So we're driving into downtown and I say "wait a minute! It's Thursday night you doofus! There can't be anything going on!" He says "oh, you're right" just as he's pulling onto the street where our old job was (We worked in radio advertising). He suddenly parks right in front of the building where we worked together and says "Okay, we're here." I started saying "what are you doing? SETH!?!?!? WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?!?!"
I get out of the car, we walk onto the sidewalk and he gets down on his knee, pulls out the ring and says "I wanted to take you back to where we started. Will you marry me?" Well of course I said yes and we hugged and he picked me up and gave me a big bear hug. We drove to the restaurant and sat in the same booth as our first date and I oggled my ring and didn't eat because I was just so freaked out still.
Then we drove to my folk's house and surprised my mother (dad already knew from S asking for his blessing) and my little sister.
AHHHHH! I feel so bad just posting and running without any pictures. But here are the stats:
1.94 carat
Ideal Cut
VS2
J Color
Set in the Mark Morrell Flame. It's like wearing a friggin' disco ball on my finger.
I swear I'll be back with pictures! I promise!
(PS. Ummm, I'm pretty sure I have my bachelor's in Communications, but you'd never tell from my post. Sorry for the rambling! You know what? I think I got engaged one year to the day that I joined Pricescope. Insert Twilight Zone music here)
