After months and months of ogling at the pictures on Goodoldgold.com, I have finally found a pair of stones fit both my budget and are the perfect ear studs that I have been searching for!

I fell in love before the pictures were up, but I''m really a novice, so I''ld like to seek your opinion on the specs. The GEMEX report that I have come to love was not available for either of these stones.

Feel free to share your input; I am just so excited and wanted to share this with everyone.

Those are beautiful stones. Will they become studs?? Lucky you!

Yes they will be earstuds. My hands were trembling when I made the purchase.

I didn't think I would be able to afford nicely-sized diamond earstuds until many years and wrinkles later, because I checked the B&M stores here, they are so expensive. And I found out, from chatting with the sales persons, most of the stones up for retail are either good or very good cuts. I'm no expert, but I know I wouldn't pay US$9k for a pair of 1ctw E/VS with vg/vg/g specs.

Those are going to make exquisite studs - good job!!!! I can''t wait to see pics!

Well done. I don''t think identical twins match as well as these. I hope to see pictures when you get them.

How exciting missyminx! Do you know what kind of setting you will use?

Awesome stones, Missy!!! Congrats!!! These earrings are going to be gorgeous!!!! How will you be setting them, and when will they be done?

Dont forget to come back and post pics!!!

Thank you all for your opinion. I would like to set them in 4 prong, white gold, with screwbacks. At this stage this is a really big purchase for me and I would hate to lose either earring.

Would you recommend otherwise, like 6 prong?

Any ideas of 4 prong settings are welcome! My criteria is just something clean-looking.

Dani, I'll definitely post earshots up once I've got them. I'm hoping to get them by mid August!

Missy,

I think they will look great in the 4 prong settings. The only other setting I would suggest is maybe a 3-prong martini (which would be my personal preference- looks like they are floating on the ears). Maybe you should go and try on both styles and see what you like best. Good luck!!!
