Hi!

First, excuse my bad english....

Sometimes, I liked to speak jewels with DH. What I love, what I would like, repeat some information I found on PS or other jewelries forum.

DH always listen to me but last week he tell me something who made me reflect. He said: " If I had money, I would like to give you all that you want. That breaks my heart not to be able to offer to you what you wish. I feel cheap!".

OMG! Was on shock! I ever thought that I could make him sorrow. Even if I don't ask anything clearly, he probably think it is. I know we don't have money and I have everything a women could desire!

After more than 30 years together, I discover how it's easy to hurt someone involuntarily. I'm soooo sorry... this is why I decide to stop to speak jewelries with my love.

Do you think it's the best decision?

I understand where you, and he, are coming from. I also used to talk about diamond specs and details about my jewelery, things that I would like to change or buy... It did make my husband feel bad. He thought that he didn't do a good job buying me things and that I wasn't happy with what I had. I did stop talking about jewelery so much. I still will show him things that I like or a design that I think is pretty, but I try not to say too much. If it is hurting your husband and making him feel like he's not good enough, then maybe it is a good idea to lay off of the jewelery talk a little bit. He sounds like a very sweet and caring man who really wants to give you everything and anything that he can!

Thank you very much Tuckins! You're nice to give me your opinion on this subject.

I think you are making a wise choice. My husband often thinks when I'm talking about something, that I want it. This has ranged from jewelry to vacations, to new houses. So I keep my pricescope knowledge to myself. It is kind of you to consider his feelings and value all that you currently have. Bewt wishes to you and may you have many more years of happiness together.

Thank you Vbnet!

yes, and you're more than welcome to come here and talk about bling and sparklies. sometimes all talk and no action is a good thing....
