So, before I jump into the story...I''m not really posting this for people to debate weither they are believers verse non-believers...I was just completely shocked by the story, and had to tell someone!!!

Last night my DH and I were watching Paranormal State--it was the hour long special about the girl in Quincy IL who was possessed. I usually get into the scary stuff right around Halloween, so watching the show was a totally up my Halloween-alley (and on a side bar--a totally creepy, scary, but interesting case...).
Basically, the girl in the show was possessed and this spirit whom they referred to as "I am Six" . The spirit was doing all sorts of perverted, evil stuff to the girl and the family even had proof! My DH and I were both totally into the show...and if you''ve ever watched, you know at the end, they give a little blurb update on how the case is unfolding, and the blurb was pretty open ended (but I won''t elaborate since I don''t want to ruin the show for anyone who might watch it later on).
But, I ended up signing online to do some research about the case and girl and my DH ever so casually mentions that his good friend (we''re talking GOOD friend--college roommate all four years, stood up in our wedding...) had an exorcism preformed on him in 2001!
I went totally slack jaw. Like, OMG--are you effin'' kidding me. Whoa.
My DH was like "oh, I never told you that? Yeah, T got excerised (??) back in 2001 on "such n'' such" a show". I was like..."ON TV??? Are you serious...this just keeps getting better and better".
My DH goes on to tell me how T was abused as a child, and in 2000 started having these "thoughts" -- thoughts that my DH can''t elaborate about because T was apparently very tight lipped about them. I told my DH that I didn''t believe him and thought he was trying to scare me--so my DH proceeds to take the laptop and about a minute later shows me all sorts of articles from ligitmate newspapers about T''s exorcism!!!!!
.
I asked my DH if he was there with T when it was preformed...and my DH told me that no one went with T, because T refused to let anyone go along.
I am still in shock. T is such a "normal" person--if normal exsists. He''s so nice, and friendly, and funny. He''s a coach at a Catholic College (where he and DH attended). He''s certainly not the type of person you''d ever think was interested in "darkness"...nothing about him gives any of this away whatsoever!

Of course I''ll never ever mention to T that I know this, but I''m sitting here the morning after like "holy ***". I have always loved scary movies, I enjoy going on Haunted Tours, and find the paranormal pretty darn interesting...but I don''t know if I''ve ever been a true blue 110% believer...but now, how can I not be a believer? If I don''t believe, thats like saying my opinion is that my DH''s best friend is lair and fake--which I believe to my core he''s not. And if I believe...then it''s like a little bit of what I always trusted in is forever gone. Ghost stories were always fun...but I never thought of them as true... Either way, I''m positively stunned.
Thanks for letting me get it off my chest.
