... I AM ENGAGED!!
FI (weird!) took me to the Cheesecake Factory tonight, and then after dinner we went for a walk down a secluded path that led to a pond/water fountain thingy. We were sitting on the bench enjoying the view, but I started getting eaten alive by mosquitoes and told then BF I wanted to head back up to the car. He said okay, and we started back up the path. As we came up to a step he "tripped" and fell down. I was asking him if he was okay and he was saying how he twisted his ankle and it really hurt, etc. He was still down on the ground when I realized that he was pulling something out of his pocket! It was my ring!! He told me how he had been trying to think all week what he would say, but nothing sounded romantic enough. He said how he wants to make new memories with me for the rest of his life.
I am so excited! It''s 11 pm here and I am NOT going to be able to fall asleep.
A HUGE thanks to everyone who has listened to me vent and reassured me that I am not crazy! The wait is finally over for me.
