I lost my engagement ring yesterday....
Went out to lunch with my mum and did a bit of shopping. When I got home, went to the bathroom and washed my hands I noticed it was not on my finger! Stupidly I put hand-cream on whilst in the chemist so it must have slipped off after that. My hands were cold so it was spinning but I''d never had it fall off before. I didn''t even notice it was gone. Am devastated, although it was not an expensive ring I loved it purely for sentimental reasons. Have retraced every step I took, spoked to every shop keeper and logged it with Police in case someone finds it and turns it in. Hubby was supportive thank goodness. Said I can design my own new one when we can afford it ( a few years time). Unfortunately it was only insured under our general contents insurance so we can only claim $1000 (once you''ve paid $300 excess) so hubby thinks its not worth claiming.
Ugh I feel so silly. A few years ago I lost my husbands wedding band at the beach too (fell out of my pocket!) so am starting to get the feeling I am just not meant to have nice jewellry...
