I bought a parcel of sapphires

Yeah I'm crazy, I saw this parcel of sapphires from Simply Sapphires and there was one that caught my eye so I bought the whole bunch for one stone

First a look at all of them on white paper, the lighting is not super great unfortunately. All these sapphires are Sri Lankan and heated.

The one that I actually bought the lot for, it is lavender! .54 and measures 5.2 x 4.3mm

A couple of shots of my favorites, lavender, a neat green one and a yellow sapphire heart, yes very windowed that heart is.

I do like the yellow heart. And the blue/green ones are yummy!

Yeah it was fun to go though them all. I'm actually thinking that the window on the yellow sapphire heart would close with a cup under it maybe. I'm only keeping two or three out of this bunch,

I also just wanted to mention that John at Simply Sapphires is a really nice guy, he was away for a few days but still answered my emails promptly and sent the sapphires out super fast. There aren't a lot of reviews about them but my experience has been great.

I actually had pierced ears at one point as a teenager but couldn't stomach sticking the earring through my ear lol! Yup I'm a total whack job but that's okay because it leaves more budget for rings!

You could make a cool band of some type with the pink squares, think tipping them and/or alternating with something else another stone or a metal flower in a CVB type style.

@arkieb1 I really like that idea, not sure if I'm going to hang onto them or not as I'm usually not a fan of princess cuts but I will definitely need some setting ideas for the purple sapphire. It's kind of an odd size so I don't really know what to do with it!

I like the idea but not for me, I almost exclusively wear my Fiona necklace. I think I'm going to sell the majority of the sapphires, like I'll probably group them, the pink sapphires together, the green princess cuts together etc.
