I am so jealous that you got to see your diamond and play with it before finalizing everything! It was not feasible for us with the cross-border hassel. So I am going mental wondering about the diamond... will it be too big? (I know, can you believe it?), will it be too tinted? Will the temp setting make me bananas?

Are you planning to tell anyone you know about the upgrade?

I''ve told my friends and they''re excited for me, though they all think I''m more than a bit nuts.. our immediate families know and have been spammed with pictures and CADs but we tend to share everything. We won''t be telling anyone else - family, coworkers, etc. unless they specifically ask, but I''m guessing noone will even notice - noone did last time

Funny how no one notices! You went from like 1ct to 2 ct didn't you? I would think that would be obvious. No one noticed when I went form .80ct to 1.2ct, and I suspect/am hoping they won't notice this time either. I don't plan to tell anyone unless they ask, and even then I will most likely not tell them

I am pretty sure that this upgrade is crossing into "crazy extravagance" territory to most people I know, and definitely to my family -- heck it is in that territory for me

-- and I do not care to invite any comments. At my last upgrade my MIL told me I did not need to upgrade any more at all, the size was big enough

It was the same size as her upgrade btw

So this rock will be much too large for sure! LOL! I may not even wear it around my family... is that strange? Probably.

Strange? Not at all. We wear them because we love them, not as ostentatious displays, but most people do assume the latter

And yes, bigger than her upgrade is much too large for you, you should know that!
