What are your immediate plans to start off retirement Matata ?? A trip ? just chillaxin, sleeping in? enjoying all summer has to offer? I live for summer..and enjoy being retired, especially at this time of year! It means late nights, sleeping in every day, no agenda, no lunches to pack, just packing up and hitting the road, at any given moment. I'm sure you've been looking forward to it for awhile, making of list of "to do's once retired" .I just wondered what it is you're most looking forward to ?

First thing is to decompress from years of stress before I even think of doing anything remotely worthwhile for humankind. In the meantime -- Spain at the end of the month (Basque country); Yosemite in Sept; Savannah & South Carolina in October with a quick sidetrip to Houston. Also starting to plan a trip to Italy with girlfriends either in Spring or next fall. In between all that, backpacking with hubby every other weekend -- three days of schlepping up mountains and sleeping on rocks. But, I love the guy and having me along makes him happy.
