wholesale for that stone in the US is about $2,400

In all openness, I looked up that specific diamond and your figure is incorrect.

Which brings me to the following questions:
- Are you in the trade, which I presume if you claim to have access to wholesale-pricing? If so, did you read PS-policies on divulging that you are a tradesperson?
- Aside from that, how can you decide the added value of the retail-package?

Chrono, I am trying to replicate your PS-search, but do not find any at such prices.

I agree 100% with Paul.
The whole concept of "wholesale prices" is not applicable.
I just did a search on a major virtual diamond database retail site
.55-.59ct E/VVS1
Prices range from +- $2300-$3700

There's going to be VERY noticeable differences between some stones with identical GIA grades.

The numbers on the stone look good and it looks very close to H&A (I dont think it would make H&A by some of our tough vendors
though).

Something similar (well cut by PS standards but no H&A image) for comparison...

Thanks a lot for your inputs. I asked the vendor to call it in to have more in depth analysis. Hopefully there will be nothing wrong with it. Will post results of the analysis when I receive it. Cheers!
