I’ve leapt into the Abyss….

Although I already have 3 watch conversion bracelets, what’s another one between friend.
I have a gorgeous Art deco platinum watch which is useless to wear mainly because the watch face is minuscule. Also I mostly wear an Apple Watch and still have, oh, 20 other vintage watches vieing for wrist real estate. So it never gets picked.
So, I thought how about a lab diamond, a baguette lab diamond. I needed a stone around 10mm x 4mm. I wasn’t worried so much about colour or clarity moreso the best fit. The space to fill is 12mm x 6mm and I’ll fully bezel set it. So off I went and bought one.
It’s on its way to me still but this is the watch I’ll be converting.
Fingers crossed the vision converts into a beautiful reality.

And the slippery slope gets more slippery.
The other diamond watch in the photo is my inheritance when the time comes. Another reason for why I’m doing the conversion is, who needs two Art Deco diamond watches?
However, I may actually need no Art Deco diamond watches because I’m currently browsing 3 carat ish Radiant cut diamonds.
I think I’m a lost cause.

The better size bio hazard has arrived and I’m off to the jeweller today.

What about enamel where the watch face is? I don’t know much about the enamel process but think it could look cool on some old watches!
