That's a difficult choice because I want it all!!! Nice ring, nice car....![]()
In my youth, the car would have won as I raced autocross. Though, at the time, I raced restored Porsche 914s. I held on to that fast and fabulous car need until I recently bought a minivan to deal with kid and life. So, the ring would win hand's down. That said, my tricked out mini-van was $35k just a few years ago...
For all the reasons others stated above B all the way.
It is not that I do not like cars. I like nice cars for men. My father has driven luxury cars all my life. I would never spend that kind of money on cars though. I used to drive a preowned basic Mazda. I do now own a car right now. My boyfriend owns something practical and basic.
I do, however, own quite a bit of very nice bling and diamonds. I am crazy for, in love with diamonds but I guess that is why I am doing what I am doing right now. So I am an extreme case.
That said realistically speaking I think the poll would be a lot more interesting, taking into account customers´views too, if you raised that budget and asked property versus diamond. Many consumers choose between the two today when spending larger sums of money. They are much more similar with respect to holding value, also in that you can wear diamonds but also you can use and/or rent out a beautiful house or apartment. The question to me would sound much more interesting and realistic if you asked say would you choose a gorgeous beach house on the French Riviera (or whereever) or get a top FCD (or whatever diamond take your pick).
I think that question would make me think for a minute too. Much harder for diamonds to compete against vacations, creating a great memory, etc. and something that holds its value.
I would not ask this question though as a choice between a first home and diamond. A true luxure property versus diamond would make a good competition.
