it's about $7000, it is worth it???? same channel setting band at cartier is about 5000, i'm so torn ........should i buy this HW band????shoud I ask my fiancé to buy this??? cuz i know he would buy it but i feel so guilty....any ideas???????
That cannot be right. If it is, the price is INSANE. You need to find that out because it makes a BIG difference! You might be comparing apples and oranges if the diamond weight is not the same for the two rings.
A nice quality channel set ring is a nice quality channel set ring. I wouldn't pay more than the $5000 under any circumstances if the weight is 1 carat. And you'd just be paying $400 to get the Cartier name over Tiffany. $2000 more would be totally crazy.
Has to be a mind thing for you -is the HW name (...or the Cartier name/red box or the Tiffany name/blue box) worth that much to you?
For me - I do not wear the box or the name on the outside (but not to knock those brands at all - lovely items in all 3 stores!) but what would count to me is the diamond performance and how the band would work with my ering.
If you purchased the facets one that DS suggested above, that's a lot more $$$ that could go towards something else (more jewellry? upgrade stone in Ering? wedding? on and on and on...)
I'm glad you are deciding against it! That is WAY overpriced in my opinion. I would much rather go with either the Tiffany or Facets band that DS suggested.
I'm glad you decided against it as well. I'm not against buying anything branded and I do buy it (I have a 12 yo that insists that everything have a brand label ) But I try to do it where I think it counts, like when the quality out performs what I could get for less. In this case I think passing was a good idea!
SEVEN THOUSAND for that?!!! Are the diamonds flawless? Colorless? Set by a celebrity jeweler? Owned by Liz Taylor!? WOW. Facets for the win on this one. IF you must go branded, Tiffs has a nice Channel Set. I didn't care for the Cartier ones as much just in pictures. They don't look channel, theyl ook bead set with metal on the sides.
