I was wondering if there is a solution to the problem of men not being able to wear their wedding bands due to their job. My partner works in a very specific job in construction where if he wears it he risks losing his fingers or hand.
Now as important as his hands are - I would still like him to wear his ring. This is an issue because we don’t actually have wedding bands and are looking to have them made now.
At first I thought matching of course - but have since seen some amazing rings using wood and opal inlays which I would love to get for him - but what is the point - he will only wear it one day a week if he remembers.
I asked him if he would wear it on a necklace and he said of course but that doesn’t feel like a solution to me.
Tattoo?? Lmao - well..... it’s a solution and wouldn’t be his first one..... maybe both?
He is Portuguese so I liked the idea of buying old filigree Portuguese bands but couldn’t find any - plus I have a white gold ER and Portuguese gold doesn’t match well at all.
If you partner (or yourself) can’t wear your ring everyday what do you do?
I remember my father had to have his wedding ring cut off in hospital when he was sick because they couldn’t get it off..... I thought it was really romantic
