Hurricane Matthew

Eastern NC is in BAD shape! Devastating flooding inland due to already flooded areas, heavy rains, dams giving way, rivers overflowing, trees down all over, and a handful of morons who didn't heed warnings & reminders to NOT drive into flooded roadways. I haven't lost power, but many I know have, and are essentially trapped in their homes until flood waters recede. Local news sources are reporting it worse than Floyd. Much of eastern NC is under water. I-95 was shut down in a few places do to being under water, as are several other major highways.

The pics & videos in my FB feed are just devastating and nothing short.

Forgot to add - at least 4 deaths in NC and about 600k without power.

I am glad you have not lost power, Jenn. I am sorry for the devastation in your state. and I hope that you and your family (and dog) do not suffer too much from the aftermath of the storm. I know that sometimes the clean-up efforts can take weeks and leave people uncomfortable. I also hope that diamondseeker is safe.

We live where Matthew was suppose to come on shore but luckily it stayed off shore and all we got were Cat 1 winds (yeah ).
