Im very new to the loose diamonds industry and have been reading a few threads, links and information my friends sent me.
After deciding on the 4Cs, and looking at Triple Excellent, HCA, IS Image and Inclusions, are there any thing else I should also take note. Am I missing out on any information? Im currently searching for a 1.79-1.99ct, F-G color, VS2, Table: 54-57% and Depth: 60-63%.
Can someone be kind to share more information and knowledge with me? Thank you.

The knowledge tab at the top of the page has a lot of information. So does Good Old Gold's website. You can also look at the "helpful threads archive" thread at the top of this board. And also search old posts with the search function. Good luck. :wavey:

Thanks so much!
This 1.90ct stone has a measurement of 7.91 - 7.94 X 4.94 mm. A friend who is searching for a 2ct stone told me she would fancy a 8.2mm size. Im wondering about this 1.90ct stone if it is a good ideal size? Any advice is deeply appreciated, Thanks!

Stick with depths of no more than 62.3% and you should be okay on the diameter. Is the stone GIA Ex/Ex/Ex? If so, it probably has a normal diameter. We'll be happy to give you feedback on stones, but we'd need all the numbers and not just the diameter/depth. I think the 1.8-1.99 range is very desirable giving close to the look of 2 carats without the price jump!

I'm by no means a pro, but got a lot of useful information on this site so I try to give my own opinion back when I can.

I found that 63% is pretty deep cut for a diamond, and I think 62% can be too? I think when I was looking the stones in the 61-61.8 range scored pretty well on the HCA.

Also, how did you arrive at the F-G color? I think there are incredible values in H and I stones that shouldn't be overlooked. I just received my "I" this morning and can't see even a hint of color. Even if you can see color when compared to D diamonds, most of the other people who she might show her ring to will have G-J stones anyway (usually not D/E), and the difference is barely visible.
