South-Korea has a population over 50 million, and a GDP/capita around $27,000.-. It is an interesting diamond-market as such.

There is a language-barrier however, making for potential inefficient supply/demand-mechanics.

Live long,

Live long,

Normally, a person/business may see Japan as a bigger market with 2.5x population 1.5x GDP/capita than Korea. Therefore, JAP/ENG version should have been a consideration

Incheon is a very important hub airport in Asia, and S. Korea is THE shopping destination for luxury goods for many Chinese AND even Japanese tourists with amazing duty free shopping options supported by the government and big global companies such as Samsung and Hyundai. After all, it is home to the first Louis Vuitton airport store.
S.Korea is known to produce quality goods with good craftmenship. Combine that with diamonds graded by a reputable lab. That's a winning combo.

It is interesting for HRD to recognize S.Korea as a market with more potential. I think it is a smart move by both parties.
