I'd like to share my recent experience with HPD and thank Layla and Jamie and the team for getting me something absolutely gorgeous to give to my mother.
As a bit of background, my mother had offered us a lot of last minute financial help for our recent wedding (which allowed us to up our honeymoon budget significantly) and I wanted to get her something to say thank you. I was a bit stumped initially but I knew that she loves jewellery and has a large collection of pretty pieces. But I also knew that a lot of her jewellery is purchased from mediocre Australia mall stores and so I figured given the research that I'd recently put into investigating diamonds when I picked out my engagement ring, I'd put that reading to use and get her an exceptionally cut diamond pendant which would hopefully be nicer than what she normally finds over here.
At that time we were due to fly overseas within 6 weeks and we needed the pendant to arrive at least a week prior so we could give it to her before we left, so we were working on a pretty tight deadline. I wasn't sure if it was even feasible to get a pendant made and shipped down under (and cleared through customs) in such a limited timeframe, but when I approached HPD they were incredibly helpful and managed to get everything sorted for me without any trouble at all, which, being in the midst of last minute wedding preparations as I had been at the time, really was invaluable for me.
And I was absolutely blown away by the pendant. The stone is gorgeous and the delicate bezel makes it appear larger than its 0.38ct, and even at this size the fire and the scintillation is beautiful.
Pics below - I've attached the glamour shots as my camera abilities really don't do it justice, but you can see the fire even in my out of focus picture taken on my phone on a moving train under crappy lighting :p)
And my mother absolutely loves her pendant and even wore it to our wedding!
