thoughts? Does it look "oval" enough, the ratio is only 1.26. Considering for a pendant-

I don't think it's oval-y enough, but perhaps it doesn't matter in a pendant? but in that case, you might as well get the superior optics from a round.

People prefer categories to ambiguity.

There is nothing inherently wrong with a diamond that seems to not fit strongly in the round or oval category.
If you like it then you like it.
Who knows, since it is shape-ambiguous perhaps it is going for a better price than if it was less shape-challenged.

I agree that it looks like a poorly cut round brilliant, but that being said it is an interesting cut and there's somehting about it I kind of like. It might look really cool in a hallo setting. Heck, you might even start a trend for ovalish round brilliants.

In the loupe pic, and the ASET looks nice for an oval. I don't think it would look like a poorly cut round - or, at least, it doesn't to me from the pics... any chance of getting it shipped out to see in-person, or having a video made?

Maybe there is some tilt in the ASET? Picture on the website looks much more oval than the stone in the ASET.

Ditto that, it does look more oval in the photo so maybe the ASET image is tilted making it look more round.
