After months of researching he finally purchased my e-ring!! I''m curious about all of your expert opinions on the quality of our stone and whether we got a good deal.

Lab: GIA
Shape: Round
Carat: 1.04
Color: F
Clarity: VS2
Measurements: 6.44 - 6.50 x 4.05mm
Depth: 62.%
Table Percent: 56%
Girdle: Faceted, thin to medium
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Excellent
Flourescence: None
Certificate comments: None

We got the Vatche, platinum, 3 stone, round, truffle setting (904) with .5ct diamonds on the sides. This setting retails for $7,975 on Whiteflash.

We paid $14,530 for the whole ring.

Any thoughts? Could we have done better? Worse? :)

Thanks!

A quick search on PS will tell you how your price matches up with what else is out there..

Based on the info you gave on the diamond, which isn''t that much, the diamond looks nice so far from the most basic of numbers...do you have a Sarin with angles?

BUT if you love it, does it matter?

You''re right, we do love it! I posed the question because I noticed many other people have asked for feedback on their purchases so why not take a shot and see if others could offer any insight. We got widely varying prices from jewelers in three different states on similar, but not equal stones so it''s been hard to know what''s a deal and what''s a rip off.

Thanks!

Don''t second guess yourself. There are so many variables on whether you got a good deal or not. I love that Vatche three stone truffle ring and I hope that you will post pictures for us here!

My insight: You bought a ring that you're delighted with. That's a win no matter how you slice it. There's no point in second-guessing yourself about a few pennies one way or the other.

Enjoy your new ring!

Thanks everyone! We won''t have the ring for 8 weeks (every jeweler also gave us a different time frame for Vatche to set our stones...) but I''ll definitely have pictures.
