I have chin legnth hair and I am tired of letting it grow and it being in a non-style. I can get it cut wednesday if I want and really like this do. How would you think I would go about styling it. I am a low maintenance kinda gal so hopefully it will not be much.

I have jerk hair meaning that it does not have a uniform curl or wave. If I use a diffuser it will get curly and sometimes does its curl thing against my wishes. Currently it is straight and curls up at the ends kind of in a flip and that is wash and wear so I am thinking that even if I took as little as 5 mins I may be able to pull it off.

Whadda ya think?

I am thinking maybe using the diffuser on the sides and back?

That looks really pretty! Very flattering style!
I would just puddle your hair is the diffuser and let it sit there until it''s dry... then with a light touch of hair spray set everything... Looks like an easy going hair do. :)

I think this is probably all in the cut. My daughter has really uncooperative hair and I finally spent the money on a good haircut (ouch!) and it made all the difference. The stylist spent over an hour with her showing her how to do it and it grew out so nice! The bonus is that we have to get it cut half as much. That bad news is that DD is now used to going to the fancy place to get her hair done. Hey, they do give me a glass of wine there so it''s not so bad.

Oh I LOVE THE CHOICE!!

I see a diffuser doing the work if you do have some curl. But I would dry upside down as mine is on the thin side...volume comes from beneath!

Then taking small bits of ends and applyng a setting gel, fixative or paste to the ends and randomly shaping the ends in a hap hazzard fashion. The product will force the ends to stand alone and do their own thing.

I think the cut will provide the foundation...the drying second the most important is the product application in the end.

Where is ItaliaHairGirl when you need her?

I will not be going to the wine serving salon, but I do love my stylist and I trust her. She was my best friend for many years and when she went through cosmetology school and she would do the most awesome things to my hair.

I do have the texturizing putty from a past haircut so I think I will be ok there.

I know, I was hoping italia would chime in. I am sure she will before wednesday. I am glad you all like it. I am going to call her tomorrow and have her squeeze me in. So excited. I have not shown DH, but I am sure that he will agree that it is nice.

That''s pretty much my haircut! I just got it week before last, so I''m not great at styling it yet. What has worked best for me is to dry it upside down. When it''s dry, I put pomade on my fingers/hands and run my fingers upwards through the bottom of my hair. It takes no time to fix, and I love it! My hair is wavy, and it actually lays very well in this cut. I can leave it curlier like your picture, or curl the ends under for a more sleek look.

I would curl your hair in big sections (maybe 7 total for your whole head) with a 2"+ barrel curling iron and then piece in place with a frizz serum.

Glad you have a good stylist! I never realized how important it was. Now, of course, I can only afford to get my hair cut 2-3x per year now that DD goes to the "wine serving" salon! Once, we both went at the same time, and I near fell over at the bill.

I do love that style - can''t wait to hear all of these tips work. I stink at using hair putty!

Wow! I just thought I looked at a photo of myself. I am the spitting image of that model, sans the hairstyle & my skin tone is just a bit darker.

I have been growing my hair out and it is about that length now and I have been wondering what I could do with it. My hair, however, is stick straight. I live my stylist and we have been growing it out into an inverted bob (slightly shorter in the back than the front) with side swept bangs and long layers (I still need for the layers to grow out a bit).

I guess if you have the hair texture to carry this style off, go for it. For myself, I think I''d have to use a curling iron or use a flat iron and just flick the ends up.

PS. where did you find the photo? Maybe I could find some more of this model and get some more hairstyle ideas. That way I''d better know how I''d look in that style since we are practically twins.

I have nothing against the "wine serving salon". I dont know if it was taken that way, but I just cant afford it. I am curious though if you could give me a ballpark cost just for s#!ts and giggles.

I have an appointment at 12 tomorrow. I am super excited. I think I will be able to do it.

Thats funny that you look like her. I just googled chin legnth hair and then tons of pics showed up.

I used to go to the David Witchell salon near me a few years ago and then DD decided she would like to go there as well (she was 11 at the time). That was 6 years ago and a basic cut was $50.00 for her (one length). (I used to take her to other cheaper salons, but her hair always ended up uneven) My cut was $75.00. One day there they were serving champagne (I forget the occasion) and asked if she wanted a glass. Hello, she was only 11! lol

Then I met a woman who just opened a salon near me. She does one fantastic job and charges me $40.00 and charges $25.00 for DD. THis woman has been my bestfriend for the past few years and never takes a tip from me, though I do buy her special gifts on her birthday and Christmas.

I''ll have to do a random search and see if I find this model. Thanks
