Here is an interesting test for colour perception. I wonder how PSers do on it.

I found a significant improvement between the first and second time I took it, but not after more tries so do it twice for a better score.

This is pretty cool!

I got an 8, I was annoyed at first because I thought it was out of 10! But 8 is apparently quite good

8 is a great score!

My problem area seems to be the transition from green to blue. The problem is that when I see the "correct" graduation, it seems wrong to me, like some bars should be moved to the right or left.

I got a 19, which I am surprised by, bc I would term myself NOT color-sensitive.

Evidently, very well.
I got 0 first try
at least I can do something right today.

That was fun! Thanks for the link!

Based on your information, below is how your score compares to those of others with similar demographic information.
Your score: 4

I got a 7 on my first try. I'll take it.

23. Ouch.

Me, too! I'm pretty excited! Lol. Silly thing to get so excited over.

I got a 7 on the first try... did it again and still got a 7..... I'm ok with that considering I don't have "young" eyes any more.

I got 8 on my first and only try.
That was hard.

IIRC my ophthalmologist told me our green/blue differentiation is the first to go as we age.
I'm in my 50s.

I'd be curious to see a screen capture of everyone's results and their age range to see where they had difficulty.

wowza. perfect score.

spiffy!

(since you asked Kenny, I'm 24 ;)) )

I wonder what GIA does with their color graders when they get over the hill, considering all the age-discrimination employment laws.

That was fun! Now I know I need to trust my instincts when it comes to stones and color...

The first two times I tried it, I had been staring at the computer screen for quite a while prior to taking the test..... I just took it again after watching TV for a few hours instead of staring at a computer... I improved my score from 7 to 3.... however, I also changed my age on this one because I will be 60 this summer, and the first time I picked the 50-59 bracket and this time I picked the 60-69 bracket, which may have been part of the difference in my score..... however, I also had a glass of wine before this last try, so that may have been what improved my score! I'll just take the 3 and put it off to "experience" - lol!

7 on my first try, and 4 on my second try
I'm 25 and not sure what to make of this hahaha

3. I don't feel like doing it again. :)

Interesting test! I'm 27 and apparently all my issues are with blue/violet.

I got a 4.

I expected to do pretty well given that I've worked with colour for so many years! My big problems are with shades of white - I'm not very colour sensitive with diamonds (which makes life cheaper!). My OECs are a J colour but I can't tell them apart from a F. They are very well cut which probably makes them look more like an H but even so...

I couldn't get back to the page to do a screen shot and I didn't notice where it showed the problem areas but I would guess blue/violet as that was the bit I took longest to do.

Wow, I thought I was more color sensitive than that. I got a 30 and I'm in my 20s, but then again, I did take the test in the dark before dawn in a dimly lit room so I will try again when the sun is out! Hopefully I'll score better than a 30!

I've done this before when a friend linked it to me. I find that doing it a second didn't improve my score but it's still fun to attempt. I'm surprised my old eyes still work well and barely scraped through a 4.

update: got an 8 on my second try so things are moving in the right direction. hopefully, by my third try I'll have a perfect score.

That was fun. I scored 7. Not bad for my age :)

Okay I caved, 0 on the second try.

I didn't get a screen grab but my problems were in the middle of blue/green and purple/blue Which makes sense because when people talk about auquamarines (or sapphires) having a green modifier I just can't see it! (Maybe I just love blue so much that I give the name "blue" to more colors than other people)

That was really fun! I tried it once and I got a 4. I'm in the 40 - 49 age bracket.

Mine was pretty bad... 25 and I'll be 30 in about a month.

Got 0, at first I thought what did I do wrong?

I scored a 12. My issues seem to be with yellow-green and blue-green.
