How to verify the diamond ring getting online

Hi, I wonder how do I know the diamond ring that I got online is the one on certification. As the diamond already be mounted on the setting, isn''t it possible that jeweler can identify it. I live in Phoenix, AZ. Thank you.

Have it independently appraised by an experienced appraiser. Not just a jeweler, but an appraiser. Good luck.

If you got an SI 1 or lower stone, there are good chances that you could be able to identify it yourself. Just use a loupe and have a look at the inclusion plot.
BUT, a visit to an independent appraiser is a must... He will tell you if the grades are corrected (grading is done by humans, so sometimes there are discrepancies) and if you got a good deal...
