Check out this small exercise we made for the new video gallery. I think it is much better to illustrate how ideal-scope works than with the pictures.

You''ll need Windows Media Player

Garry now wants to make several videos with different examples

Agreed, quite useful; where''s the virtual popcorn.

P.S. Remember to have the audio on to benefit best (as, for some of in office environments, this is not native).

Great job, it will be very helpful.

Superfantastic.

Now how about an example of a not so good diamond, and a bad diamond.

1. I too, would love to see some comparisons of ideal cut stones vs. non-ideal ("good" diamonds vs. "bad" ones.) Personally, I think such comparisons (especially for newbies thinking perhaps they can compromise on cut) would be very appropriate and helpful.

2. How about a diamond(s) in an office (flourescent lighting) environment?

3. How about a less than ideal IS image? (Same reasons as #1)

I think these videos are an excellent idea, and a GREAT learning tool. Thank you!

very nice job Leonid!!! perfect pink distribution, love it!

just an FYI if anyone has a problem clicking on that link where it says 'small exercise'..my WMP made me take out the mms:// and put an http:// instead, in the url to play it.

These are great! I love the ideal scope film and the one about the darkness with in stones. Very neat!

for the record: the speciment in the movie is not a diamond but a calibration cz from ideal-scope kit.
