How to store necklaces?

I moved not-so-recently and still have not unpacked my necklaces (both costume jewelry and real). Here comes an embarrassing admission on PS - I don't have a jewelry box with a section for hanging items and used to just keep most of my necklaces on a hanger. Do you have any suggestions for storing necklaces?

For costume jewelry, I have some key hooks that I've screwed into the wall and I just hang them above my dresser.

For good jewelry, I lock it in the safe.
