how to smuggle ring on plane?!

All this talk about proposals on w/e getaways...how do you travel with the ring. Any suggestions?

I carried the ring in tissue paper in my pocket and had no problems getting through security or on the plane. I left the ring box at home.

is there really any problem just putting the ring box (with the ring inside) in your carry on bag?
