I am comparing two very nice stones. Both AGS 0, H&A, SI1. On the cert, the left image shows a slight inclusion on the table in the first stone, and nothing on the reverse image next to it. The other stone has scattered inclusions on the reverse image (the one on the right), but nothing on the left image.

I don''t have H&A viewer, so i don''t know how the placement of the inclusions affect the stone. Can anyone help with that.
Thanks.

The two images represent the diamond face up and face down, and the inclusions that can be seen from either position. Scattered ones are usually prefereable - and invisible. Also, the 'face-up' image is the key one - I would say - since you are not going to see the stone 'bottom up' ever again after it is mounted....

Note: you do not need any viewer to see wether inclusions affect the appearence of the stone - as you say. The key question here is: are inclusions visible without magnification (= is th estone eye clean) ? All you need for that is a good look at the stone, face up, preferably not in direct light where the sparkle of the stone is at it's best hiding inclusions.

great answer. thanks so much.
