How to make the best star rubies

I have a lot of Star ruby rough and i wanted tips on what is the best way to go about making Star rubies so that the star is centered.Basically i wanted to know more about how much the mount should be, and what is the relation between mount and the fineness of the rays of the star.Any info will be appreciated

How is it that someone comes into a lot of ruby rough and yet asks for advice on how to cut it on a consumer forum

Seems like you should know the answer to that question if you are in the business, and if you aren''t, then wouldn''t you want to locate a professional cutter who would know?
