Hi All,

I am about to pull trigger ( order the diamond I think it''s going to be the one ).

A question comes up to my mind. We''re buying from US site, and have the setting down in London.
Having heard some unfortunate story of diamond chipped during setting, wondering how to ensure loose diamond just in case ?

Thanks to all ladies.

You can''t - no one in the UK will insure loose stones.

The way round it is to have the diamond set in the USA by the vendor - insure it, import it (you will pay extra as you have to pay duty on set stones) and then send it to your jeweller to be reset.

The other option is to just keep your fingers crossed and if the stone breaks/chips then swallow the cost...
