How to get rid of greenish hue

I own a .26 ct half eternity band with .02ct x 13 stones. It is 2mm in diameter so it's quite dainty. I usually drop it overnite every couple of days into a solution I make with half Mr Clean solution (a green solution), half water and few drops of ivory dish washer soap. Recently I noted my band is not sparkling quite as much as it used to. So I took a closer look at the stones and they have a greenish hue to them now. I surmised it must be the solution I described above, so I have quit using that method to clean my ring.
Problem is no matter how I scrub the ring and stones, the greenish hue remains on quite a few of the stones. How is that possible. Diamonds can't absorb liquids obviously, so it must be on the surface. Why is the green color not going away?
And while I have you all, short of buying the ultrasonic cleaners and other steamers, how best do I clean this band next time. It's impossible to get underneath the stones to clean them since they are pretty much encased. I have tried dipping in alcohol to remove the green hue and also to try to have it dissolve dirt underneath, but so far no success.
Please help. This hue is annoying.

Wonder if soaking it in very hot water will help

I tried that, it got a little better but the hue is still there.

I would take it to your local jeweler and have them clean it. I'd also let them know how you've been cleaning it, I would bet it's that solution. Warm water and dish soap is all you should be cleaning your diamonds with. I hope they can help!

I suspect that some of the solution likely dried up underneath the diamonds and are now resistant to removal by the usual home cleaning methods. Bring it to your local jeweller to steam the remains out.

My guess is that some of the liquid, probably dried by now, is trapped between the prongs and the diamond and is not being removed by your efforts. A steam cleaner at the jewelers should probably due the trick after a good soaking. It is also possible that the soap is forming a soap scum barrier on the back of the diamond which might be helped by a short soaking in an ammonia water mix. Not too long or you might tarnish any silver that is in the alloy used to make your ring.

My best suggestion is that you take it in for a professional cleaning at almost any local jeweler who will not only clean it for you but also give it a nice buffing. Most will do it for you free of charge and will try to interest you in something while you are there. A few minutes of enjoying looking at nice jewelry seems like a very fair price to me...

Ok thanks all. I appreciate the help. Will take it in to the jeweller's then.
