Dear PSers,
I'm traveling from DC to NYC tomorrow to make the final payment on a pair of OMC earrings, and pick them up, of course I've discussed the return policy with the seller when I first saw the earrings at Intergem, and her response was "oh, sure you can return them... if you don't want them, bring them to us next time we're in town for Intergem." While that sounds nice (it would have been a month-long return window), it's also kind of vague... The seller seems nice and trustworthy, but I want to make sure I'm not being naive. Is there any need to have the return policy written out on any piece of paper? On the receipt, perhaps? Their receipts are handwritten -- would it be appropriate for me to ask her to write down that I have a return window (of maybe 10 days)? The seller will be at Intergem in VA in a week from now, so in the (unlikely) event that I decide to part with the earrings, I'd like to be able to bring them to the show and not have a problem.
Any advice much appreciated. Am I being overly paranoid? Is their word good enough, is that how it's usually done?
Thanks!
