Wedding How soon after RSVPs are due can we call people?

RSVPs were due May 1st...

No response from quite a few people...

I just want to know who''s coming! arrgghhh

When can I start calling people?

And am I being a little...hmmm...let''s say anal/bitchy for being a little annoyed that some people said they''d come but didn''t mail the RSVPs? (even though I told them kind of jokingly it didn''t excuse them from mailing me the RSVP and to please mail them anyway?)

OK, you inspired me! Just left a message for one couple, talked to another one (found out they''re not going). That''s it for me, at least for today...
Now FI''s got to make some calls (some are on "his" side)!
