Hi everyone. I’m looking to set this cushion tourmaline, and I really can’t decide on a setting. I bought it a few years back from Litnon, and while I really love it, I’ve just not been comfortable enough to set it, but I need to stop procrastinating and settle on something!
I love ornate mounts; halos, diamonds, scrollwork etc etc. I know that lots of you have TDF settings and great taste, so please tell me what you think would look nice, and/or show me if you have something similar. Thanks in advance. =)2

It’s beautiful! Is it from Afghanistan? I’d vote for a very delicate halo.

Your ring is so unique and beautiful! Most rings with that many prongs somehow interfere with the beauty of the stone. This setting enhances it!
Thank you!

In general, it is not a bad idea for large, but somewhat sleepy, or darker stones. Where even a halo would limit access of the light.

Here...20180603_130005.jpg20180603_125951.jpg20180603_125938.jpg sorry for the background, an old table on the balcony. I bought this stone because I wanted to buy a tsavorite which has inclusions but is over 3 ct and that was the deal. I love garnets, and as time has shown, am not a tourmaline person at all. P.S. the photo is snap- and-post.

Spectacular! And I love how the prongs are part of the design and not something to be made as invisible as possible.

Wow , all these settings are making me want to set some of my loose stones! I cant wait to see what you decide for that gorgeous stone!

Thank you!

I did not know that. Did you look at different settings before you chose this one?
