And how often is too often for 1) ultrasonic and 2) high pressure steam? I ask because I usually soak what I'm going to wear that day while getting ready and I recently got a Gem Oro Ultrasonic with Steam and frankly, I don't want to over do it. Before I just soaked in a still bath.

Thanks so much!

I wash my rings with a soft brush and dawn dish soap at the end of the day when I take them off for the night and before putting them away in my jewelry box - every time. I haven't used my steamer in awhile, but probably need to. But the dawn does a fantastic job of keeping my jewelry sparkling very well.

I soak mine each night in a bowl of Dawn dish soap and water or in the pink jewelry cleaner. I have a jewel jet and get it own when any of my diamonds looks smudgy.

I normally clean my e-ring with a toothbrush and dishwashing liquid whenever it looks dirty or when I think about it.
I do the same with bathgel or liquid shampo when I'm traveling or on a cruise. The Tiffany Fancy Yellow presents problems because
it has a basket setting that makes reaching the pavillion difficult so that has to wait for the ultrasonic.

Tennis bracelets go into the ultrasonic cleaner maybe every 3 months or before an orchestra concert (must have clean bling under all those stage lights  ) or before a cruise. Haven't cleaned my new FIY bracelet that is 3 weeks old yet and plan to wear it to Sequoia National Park (home of the monster trees) next week. Haven't cleaned my FIY pendant either. Wink will love me for neglecting my new FIY treasures

Take that back, Tiffany steam cleaned my Fancy Yellow ring before we looked at it under the microscope two weeks ago. I wanted to match the serial number on the diamond to my lab report (because I forgot to do this when I bought it) and the salesman thought it was a tad dirty

Soak mine in Mr Clean and water every night and toothbrush clean then in the morning. I had an ultrasonic but the small diamonds in my pave periodically came out (and after reading this forum) I stopped using it. I think if you soak every night, then you really only need the steam cleaner every 3 months (at most). I think it all depends on your setting though- pave and ultrasonic are not a good combo.

I soaked my rings in water and dawn for the first time last night, and It was so gross all the junk that came off  . I will be doing this every night for sure!

To get into the tiny places, I use an old make up brush (e.g. for eye shadow). It's soft & gentle so it doesn't scratch any stones or metal, but is full & flexible enough to get into all the nooks and crannies.

I wear a single diamond ring all the time.

On average I clean it twice a day.
That may seem like crazy-often, but it only takes a second because it's in a tension setting which lets you see not only more of the diamond, it makes dirt very noticeable.
