i can only ever put in it phone, keys, cards and cash, small flat bottle of perfume. I'm so much happier now although sometimes if i'm going out with my partner i just put my phone in my bum pocket and leave the bag home! feels great not being weighed down. I've since bought one even smaller![]()

My advice to anyone carrying a purse in public, NEVER leave your purse unattended for even a few seconds.

However if I go out without him I take one to hold my wallet and my phone, my keys and a few other esssentials. I love handbags in theory and have quite a few (way too many!) but in reality I prefer being free and unencumbered.
ETA: I'm with MC...crossbody bags are the way to go. Very easy.

The strap is dark brown, too.)
It's not something I would have chosen for myself (I prefer plain, non-patterned bags), but it's the perfect size. There are a lot of really pretty bags on Coach's site.

His car keys, his wallet (so he doesn't have to sit lopsided), his camera (he likes taking snaphots of every event, his electronics. The kids also "use" my purse....any fliers they receive, invites, toys and whatnot. My purse acts as a carry-all for the whole family, I cannot imagine leaving home without one.
