Hi everyone! :wavey:

I am a newbie who has been looking for a light yellow sapphire but i am interested to know what would be a reasonable price for a 1.5-2ct emerald cut N-P coloured diamond with a VS1 clarity?? Any help would be very appreciated!!

perhaps 4-7K

Thank you :appl:

I was hoping it would be a bit cheaper than that..... wishfull thinking i guess :loopy:

Thank you, i can't seem to view the website so i will try and reload later :)

Here's what i found but with that clarity the price will be higher.

I would look at the estate ring market and you could probably find one for less:

How about that 2.24 O with medium yellow fluorescence???. Interesting.

Thank you for those examples!!

I am such a newbie i don't know what o with moderate yellow saturation would look like so i will check it out, would that be a more reasonable price?

woops *medium yellow fluorescents"

I have looked (and drooled on my keyboard slightly) at their website but they only offer "fancy coloured diamonds" so they are pricey!!!
I am thinking X-Y-Z would be the best to provide the yellow i am after.

Emerald cuts tend to show more color than other cuts, so if you want it to face up white you must buy a higher color.

An O color especially in an emerald cut will show a very light yellow color in the stone. When a stone has blue fl. then in certain lighting will have a blueish cast to the "white" stone. So I am assuming if the fluorescence color is yellow then in certain lighting you would get more yellow color in this emerald cut stone. That 2.24 O color is a pretty large face up stone. I had a 2.10 radiant that the face was 8.9 x 6.65 and it was a honker. I set it East/ WEST

You might also want to consider a yellow zircon...zircons mimic a diamond better than sapphires. Contact Barbara Smigel she might be able to find the yellow sapphire or zircon that will suit your budget.

Here's your ring on ebay....LOL!

The sapphire came from the natural sapphire company:

OOOh that ring is pretty!! :appl:

Thank you for looking around and posting those links for me, The Zircon would be perfect except it is very brittle and the ring will be worn daily so it would't last.
