Thinking about upgrading and would need to sell my engagement ring. It is a 1.39 radiant cut, H, VVS2 with a 1.05 tcw G/H setting.

one approach will be to look at similar diamond and setting online and try to sell at 75%-50% discount to the online price.

I saw a stone on JA very close to yours for 8-9k

3/4 of the diamond price you paid and 1/2 the setting price assuming excellent condition seems to be a good rule of thumb.
