The HCA is best used as a general elimination tool. You''re shooting for a number under 2. The lower number isn''t necessarily better. Like the others said, it is likely that in some cases a .5 will be worse than a 1.5. Likewise, a 1.5 could be better than a .5. Shoot for a number under 2 and an

I have a diamond that's either 1.5 or 1.7 (I forget) and another that's a .5. Both are the same size & they look the same to me! (and they're from WF, if that makes any difference!)
