i dont but its maroone in color with what seems to be a purple inside

It really come down to the color and clarity. How dark is the material?

pretty dark and purple with some shine even on the outside

A stone like that has it''s value for a mineral collector, it''s not really a gem grade stone. Usually mineral collectors are interested in terminated crystals, so I wouldn''t expect too much for it.

It doesn''t look like something that is facetable. I''m not even sure if you can cab it. All in all, despite its size, I doubt it''s worth a whole lot, but it looks like something that is very interesting to keep and show as a mineral.
