I am doing some research and i was wondering does anyone know how much a Ruby cost in 930 BC? Or can you direct me to where i a may be able to locate this information?
Not an expert and afraid I don't know. Would suggest trying museums if internet has nothing? Are you looking for the cost as it was in a specific geological area in 930BC? If so you might have more luck with a specialist in that field for that period, Egyptologist or whatever?
umm, usually those sorts of things were probably reserved for royalty, etc. If you were someone who could afford a ruby in 960 BC, you were probably given it after a battle (as booty) or it was handed down through the family. Not sure what the currency would be (inflation adjusted for three thousand years) but you might be looking at 10 heads of cattle...?
Just out of curiosity, why?
