How much they are worth often depends on how much you are willing to pay. Do the earrings come with an independent appraisal?

What might make the most sense is for you to publish the price, and folks can comment on it.

I know this sounds like a helpful thing….. but appraisals are arbitrary in many ways. For sure an appraisal supplied by a seller is just about meaningless

Ps- is it just that I had a long weekend or is the diamond on the left set crooked????

I understand that but it is impossible for us to sit here and look at that picture and assign any kind of credible value.

We agree- we can't give a specific number....... just that assessing a quoted price seems much easier than shooting a price in the dark.......

Would be like 4.000 high for this earrings?

It's not a "crazy" number based on the IGI specs........ that does not mean they are a value.....

I wouldn't personally pay 4k, but that isn't totally insane either.

So 3-4k would be fine to sell it for?

Selling secondhand it will mostly be based on what people are willing to spend, then. In my personal opinion I wouldn’t really expect to get more than $2000 for these but I am also not a professional appraiser.

ah okay i see

I found them on Catawiki: you're the German bidder who won and you bought them for 1300€

totally different story for a private individual selling them......
It's to late to edit but I'd if I could it would say:
If they are being offered by a reputable, high end seller, it's not a "crazy" number based on the IGI specs........ that does not mean they are a value.....

lol, I thought you were asking what they might go for from a reputable retailer.

As someone who bought them for ~1500 USD, you aren't going to get much more than that for them 2nd hand. You aren't a jeweler, the earrings aren't new, etc. You aren't going to make a profit on this one.

That is always the problem with these type of questions. You never know if someone is looking to buy or sell them. That is why I think a fair price just depends on what someone is willing to pay. If you just want to sell them, I would expect to receive about what you paid. Unfortunately, there isn’t much room for profit to be made.

I can't get past how crooked that stone is. I wonder if you have a jeweler fix it, if you can get more money for them?

Would it really make a Price different if i fix it?

Fix the crooked stone.
IMO selling easily on Ebay for 2500/3000€.

AS someone who's been selling on eBay for more than 25 years....this does not seem to be a valid expectation.
Nothing is easy on eBay in this price range.....

I respect your opinion.

I think you'll have better luck selling them if you fix it. They arent going to be easy to sell unless you sell at a reduced price.
