how many synthetic/fake/manmade diamonds are out there?

anything to worry about when purchasing from "reputable" online sellers like JA, WF, GOG?
My assumption is its nothing to worry about, but just wanted to be safe than sorry...

There are many many out there, but you will not have a problem at ALL with any of the aforementioned vendors. They are all fabulous.

To be sold an imitation diamond would be unusual - if in doubt, use an appraiser - there is a list under resources at the top right.

Synthetic diamonds are coming - colourless are not really here just yet - they are still very expensive to make. However De Beers seem to be planning to launch them soon.

Just wanted to chime in and say you have *nothing* to worry about with the vendors you listed. They have impeccable reputations, which are far too valuable to risk with anything less than excellent diamonds and top-notch customer service.
