How long it takes to make setting with SK and VC?

Please tell your experience. How long it takes for you for custom setting with Steven or Victor Canera?

For me it took long time to hear anything from jeweler. Should I contact him, or wait 4-5 weeks as it was stated in receipts?

Wait for 4 weeks and then email and ask him when he thinks it will be completed.

I agree with DS. If the recipt says 4-5 weeks, I would wait until you are in that timeframe to contact.

VC told me 6 weeks and it was 6 weeks to the day exactly.

If the receipt says 4-5 weeks then I wouldn't worry. Since expectations are clearly stated on the receipt I'm still trying to figure out why you are asking...

Why am I asking?... because I waited for 3 weeks already and did not hear anything from jeweler ( no discuss details, or cad image still).

I do think Victor is extremely busy right now, so I would not worry. From the date I shipped the ring (February 23rd) to receiving the final product last Monday, it took about 7 weeks. The anticipation was unreal, so I do know how you feel! If you have any concerns or questions for him, just email or call him. I found him to be very open and very timely with his replies. Hope this helps!

Oh, so you have only sent him your stone and have not discussed the details of the setting you want? If that is the case, I would certainly call. But if he discussed a design with you and wrote up the price quote, then he probably considers that there is no need for communication until the ring is ready. I don't believe Victor does CAD's since his work is all hand forged.

Yes, i sent a diamond, he received it on 4/4/12. I received receipts , emailed him description and pics of ring i want. But I thought that he will tell me "in progress" work or ask additional questions. Because my ring exclusive, not like he made already that.

So...sorry didn't get a chance to answer your question I was away for a long while and just get back. I guess you decided to go with VC? Absolute will be perfect! I can't wait to see your ring. Victor is extremely busy right now. I suspect that you will hear from him once he starts your piece. Have you finalized a ring size, paid your deposit, etc.? If so, then you should be good to go!
