How long for GIA certificate?

I want to send a diamond in to get a GIA certificate. It had one in the past, but it was lost with no record of the numbers. I don''t plan on selling it, however, you never know what life brings. Does anyone know how quick their turn around is?

I think it depends, sometimes faster than others but I think a few weeks is a reasonable timeframe.

my turn around was two weeks.

Mine was away for about a month but that was when I heard they were swamped. I too lost the report and my jeweller helped me get another one.

Talk about fast! I sent it in last Friday and it was returned and in my hand today! I bought the diamond on ebay (yeah, I know). BUT it met my budget and had a return policy. He advertised it as a H/SI2. It came back from GIA as an F/SI1! TOTALLY eyeclean. I am going to send it off in the morning to have it set into this
