How is this stone spec / price?

Last stone might make a good earring or pendant, but I wouldn''t want it for a ring due to the shallow angle combo--obstruction and at 32.5 crown, you would really be sacrificing fire.

Well, the stone got sold, I was a tad bit too late. This was my next in line, same price, color is higher (F), slightly smaller (.71 vs .73) but not tagged as H&A - not sure if that is really significant or not...shall I ask for any specific images of this stone? And how does this look?

And this was next in line on my list after the one I just posted above...same weight, lower color (G) but H&A and a few hundred more...

Numbers on the last two are both very good. IS images and photos would be nice, but both are in very safe ranges to give excellent performance. If the H&A is being sold as such and that is important to you, then I would ask the vendor for hearts images. If you are looking for a bright and lively stone and don''t really care about H&A, then either looks like they could be an excellent choice.

Thanks for looking. The inclusion on the F above is a small white inclusion on the side, but they said 100% eye clean. Waiting on response for images...

You guys think it''s safe to buy the F stone without seeing images? They say its H&A as well now...The retailer is saying that I must purchase the diamond to see it , straight from the cutter...and they don''t send them out on ''memo''. And no images from the cutter are available. You think it''s safe, or should I just go elsewhere where I can get all images before having to commit.

What's their return policy?

The numbers are very good, and a VS2 should be eye-clean. That is all we can say from the information given. I think it is a very safe bet, but personally would only purchase if the vendor has a good return policy just in case I didn't like it. (Though my overall preference is to have fuller information before committing to a purchase of this size) If the vendor either doesn't allow returns at all or just has a short inspection window, I'd look elsewhere. Just for comparison, most of the PS vendors have a 30 day return window. You would also have the option of taking the diamond to an independent appraiser during this time if you wanted an expert opinion from someone who can actually view the stone.

It is really a case of what YOU are comfortable with.

A retailer will not generally cover the cost of an independent appraisal--it is for your peace of mind, not theirs. They have already paid for GIA grading, after all. You would have to find an appraiser and ask about their pricing structure, it varies . Here is a good place to start

Each appraiser charges differently depending on the services/information he provide. Also, you should pay for the appraisal, else there would be a conflict of interest for the appraisal. He should be working for you on the diamond and not for the vendor.
