I just brought this diamond from Bluenile. This seems to be the best one that I can find online that is in my price range. Can any of the diamond guru and expert tell me if this is any good? I want to make sure it is a high quality diamond before giving to my GF. Plan to get engage. Here is the URL. IT is a bluenile signature round diamond.

Absolutely gorgeous choice! How do you plan to set it?

thanks Lorelei. That is another problem that I have. My GF don''t like any of the BN setting. She like this style, but Jamesallen but unfortunately they don''t sell jsut the setting. So I hit another brick wall.

-she preferes 19K white or 18K.

If I were you, I''d print out a pic of the setting you like and take it along with your diamond to a local (and reputable) jewelry store. If they don''t have a similar setting, they will make one for you. Make sure the setting band isn''t too thick or it will swallow your diamond (make it look small).

Good Luck

thanks for the advice MDM. I am trying to do that but hard to find one that will take liability when they set the diamond. Most of them say, that if anything happens, they won''t be liable.

so why don''t you just get the stone from JA?

I couldn''t find a stone that I liked in JA for the price that I can afford.

I really want the huigher clarity. I want to make sure it will really spark and my Gf will be happy with the stone.

Just wondering...I am in the UK and not too sure how the insurance works there in the States, but I wonder if you buy the BN diamond and the setting from JA, insure the loose diamond with a protective rider for the setting process if that might work? I think either Chubb or Jewelers Mutual might insure loose diamonds now, could be wrong of course...but it might be worth looking in to

Or maybe you could ask the jeweller who sets the diamond if he might have an add on policy which might cost you a bit extra to cover the diamond while he works on it? Just throwing some ideas out there.

I found a goldsmith in my area that will make a mounting for me and take responsible for the stone during the mounting process.

.. Now one less thing to worry about.I decide to go with this setting.. what do you guys think?

I love that setting. It''s beautiful. Congrats on finding a jeweler to do that for you.

I think it''s a beautiful setting and love the matching wedding band.

Oh, I like that one MUCH better than the one at James Allen! It is beautiful (and a lot like what I want!).

That Bluenile Signature Series is nice.
.62 ct E VVS2 per AGS!

HCA is 1.1 x x x v.

I love the low color and high clarity too.
This is a diamond I would have picked.

thanks everyone, the positive comment really help elimate all the doubt that I have. I am really looking forward to this ring. Initially, I didn''t like that style, but it really grew on me.
