Hi guys! Long time no post for me on Pricescope (had a baby, had no time, now I''m back ^_^)

I am upgrading my current diamond stud earrings and had the vendor recommend these diamonds to me. Does the table difference of 54% vs 57% make a huge difference?

Stone 1: Round 0.70 J SI1 EX EX EX GIA N
Depth 61.3%
Table 57%
5.71-5.75x3.51

Stone 2: Round 0.70 J SI1 EX EX EX GIA N
Depth 61.6%
Table 54%
5.73-5.76x3.54

Any help would be great!

Forgot to mention the crown and pavilion :)

crown angle is 34.5 and pavilion angle is 40.8 for both stones

For both?

Personally I would prefer the tables to be closer in size, ask the vendor how well these two match, it isn''t something that would jump out at you especially in earrings but see what the vendor says, they might be able to suggest another diamond with a similar table size to match one of these.

You can be as picky as you want as there are always other stones, but you likely will never notice such a minor difference in table size or how the two stones look when being worn. If you compare them side by side you may notice one is a tiny bit different then the other, but with a pretty face in between, no way anyone would notice. Make sure UV fluorescence matches if it is present or is slight or less. Make sure inclusions in one do not change the appearance so the match is not what one would expect. Make sure the colors are within a grade tolerance, too.

Hi Lorelei! I remember you from when I first started posting 2 years ago :) You were so helpful then, and continue to be helpful now. I love seeing the same familiar faces!

Yes, I went back to the vendor asking if they had something that matched better. Even if they don''t, perhaps it''s not a HUGE deal since they won''t be literally side-by-side where the difference may be more obvious. :)

Thanks a bunch!

You are a charmer :) Hopefully that''s the case, my face will distract people from noticing the difference in table. Ok to be honest, no one but a Pricescoper will even know what the heck a "table" is :)

It comes down to you, I would want the table sizes to be closer myself but it isn't a huge deal or something that anyone would ever notice, for me its a ' mindclean' thing but it depends on you, see if they have a closer match if you prefer, if not then you can pursue this pair.

I wouldn''t worry at all about that sort of table difference, personally.

Hi everyone, I have images for the diamond. Can anyone let me know if there are any red flags? Otherwise, to my newbie eyes, I have no idea what I''m looking at and they look fine :)

Diamond 1 is on the left and Diamond 2 is on the right.

Stone 1: Round 0.70 J SI1 EX EX EX GIA N
Depth 61.3%
Table 57%
5.71-5.75x3.51
crown angle is 34.5
pavilion angle is 40.8

Stone 2: Round 0.70 J SI1 EX EX EX GIA N
Depth 61.6%
Table 54%
5.73-5.76x3.54
crown angle is 34.5
pavilion angle is 40.8

Bigger picture. Discovered how to make it bigger but within the 100k file size :) Also, realized that I used the same picture for the second row so I'll post those separately..

side by side of the Idealscope images, had the wrong image prior.

Let me know what you guys think :) Thanks!

Hi,
I''m really really picky when it comes to studs. IMO, if you''re looking for two stones (rather than trying to match up one you already have), there will always be two matching stones out there if you give yourself a bit of time to look.

Hi MC :)
I am looking for 2 stones (currently have 2 smaller stones, want to upgrade) and these were the matching ones that the vendor provided. Do you think they are not a great match? If so, can you share why? I realize that there are differences in the numbers but as long as it can fool my picky eyes in person, I am ok with the differences. Thank you!

I think those would make perfect earrings. Once on, you''ll never see the difference in tables.

Mine are also .70ct each and have more of a variation in measurements. You still can''t tell once they were mounted and especially on the ear.

My first pair of studs were visably different when looked studied for a second. . . .lol, so maybe it''s just a neurotic view that I wanted my second pair to nearly match. Their tables are 57% and 56.8%. I probably will never upgrade so it was a huge deal to me to find the "perfect" set.

If the vendor says the diamonds match, then ignore what I''ve said! lol

Enjoy your earrings

IMO...a beautiful pair

same diameters,no leakage,no broken arrows on these images.

Thanks everyone! I pulled the triggered and ordered these stones from Brian Gavin :) I think I got a little caught up in the specs and had "information paralysis". Judging by the diamond images, they are gorgeous and I can''t wait to get them into my hands!
Will post pics in Show Me the Bling when they arrive. Woohooo!

Pricescope comes to the rescue once again!
