How High Is A Tiffany Cathedral?

I was wondering if anyone has a solitaire Tiffany Cathedral & if they could tell me how high from the finger it sits in mm?

Does anyone have a profile shot they can show me? Obviously if you have a pear diamond in it that would be even better, but any shape stone is good. I am wondering if I could get my jeweler to replicate it, but I am really interested in height - the higher the better

Thanks in advance! :wavey:

Are you talking about this?

I love many Tiffany settings but that is not one of my favorites. If you are talking about a generic cathedral solitaire setting, then they can be any height, low, medium, or high. Knowing the height won't really help you unless the stone size is similar to yours since the height is partially due to the size of the diamond. I would suggest that you show the jeweler some rings that are set like you want rather than giving him a height measurement. Just be aware that the higher the diamond is set, the more likely it will get whacked on things.

Thanks Diamondseeker. Sadly the pear setting that Tiffany's make has a low basket & it doesn't sit flush with any type of band. I saw a Tiffany Cathedral, which I am told is different to the Classic Tiffany, but that its no longer produced :(( The shoulders swept up very high & the diamond seemed to float in the air - it was stunning! I realise it might get bashed, but no more i imagine than my current setting, which sits 5.5mm high. I never gave a thought to stone size, so thank you for mentioning it

I don't like the current Tiffany pear setting, either. But I really can't ever recall a Tiffany pear ring posted here, although it is certainly possible.
