I haven't run just a mile all-out for time in a long time, so I'm not sure!
I ran 3.5 miles yesterday at an 11:30/mile pace on a somewhat hilly trail...but if I was only running a single flat mile (like on a track) it'd be a lot faster. I guess I could manage probably somewhere in the mid to high 9 minute range for a single timed all-out mile!
I usually have a 10 minute/mile pace, whether running 1 mile or 13.1. A few years back, after doing a full marathon, I did a timed mile and did it in 8:16. That was my fastest time ever. But definitely not my normal or natural running pace.
Post-baby (and with way too much baby weight), I'm doing 4 miles at about a 12 minute pace. I've heard that for every pound you lose it takes 3 seconds off your mile time, which is right- normally I'm 40lbs lighter and 2min/mile faster.
I run 5 miles everyday and I average about 9:30-9:45 per mile.
I originally did a turtle pace at 13min/mi but running with my army dh, I've shaved off time drastically
I *used* to run a consistent 7:50 mile... but two knee surgeries and a broken ankle later, I probably couldn't run a mile at ANY pace even if there was a man behind me with a gun!
Yup lol! Back in MIDDLE SCHOOL I could run a 6 minute mile, mostly because I don't think kids get tired lol! Now, I'm not even exaggerating when I say that I don't think I could even complete a quarter of a mile (one lap around the track) without stopping/cramping/DYING.
I am on my feet all day long - I get 13,000-15,000 steps a day at work alone, however I don't run!!!!! Like... EVER!
I average a 10 minute mile when I'm doing my 3 mile jogss. I have no idea what my fastest mile time would be...maybe around 7-8minutes? I'm no spring chicken,so I like my jogging to be leisurely.
