This is my first post, but I've been reading these fora for quite a while. Thanks to the advice and info I've found here, today I picked up the beautiful solitaire I had chosen for my lady. I plan to engage over the Christmas holidays, likely on Christmas morning. I'd like a little input on a few ideas that I've had. I'm a pretty eccentric guy, so I want to make sure the proposal is creative and different, but still romantic.
My first idea is to make her a pop-up story book that's about us, with the last page having the ring pop-up. Last year I made a book (about us of course!) for her which ended with a To be continued. She loved it, and I think using this way to propose would be appropriate.
A second idea is based on a gift I gave her for Christmas 2 years ago- I made her a monopoly board, but each space had places related to us and things we've done. She really liked this as well. While the board was complete (it hard the cards and everything!), I didn't include any game pieces. I was thinking maybe this year I should give her a few monopoly pieces (wrapped as a set) and include her ring in the package.
A third option is to just wrap the ring and present it to her on Christmas morning- or perhaps take her to a nice restaurant and do it there. These are my fallback ideas, as they just don;t seem to suit me too well.
Ayn feedback would be greatly appreciated!
